Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how Heat Studio LLC collects, uses, and protects your information when you use Transcribe Video to Text (Vid2).

1. Information We Collect

• Account information: an account ID and, if you sign in with Apple or Google, your email address and name
• Video and audio files you upload or record for transcription, and links you submit
• Generated transcripts and summaries
• Purchase and subscription status
• App usage data (e.g., which screens and features you use), collected with Google Analytics for Firebase and linked to your account ID
• Device details (e.g., device model and OS version)

We do not collect advertising identifiers or track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

• Generate transcripts, translations, and summaries from your content
• Provide your account and subscription
• Improve app performance and user experience
• Communicate important updates or service-related information

3. Service Providers

We share data only with the service providers that run the app for us, and only as needed to provide it:

• Google Firebase: accounts, data storage, and analytics
• RevenueCat: purchases and subscriptions
• OpenAI: transcription, translation, and summaries
• Replicate: speaker identification
• Supadata: fetching YouTube and TikTok captions

These providers process data on our behalf and are required to protect it. We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.

4. Data Retention

Uploaded files are deleted once their transcript is complete; if a transcription fails, the file is kept for 7 days so you can retry it. Transcripts and summaries stay in your account until you delete them or your account. Analytics data is deleted automatically after at most 14 months.

5. Children’s Privacy

This app is suitable for users aged 4+. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 without parental consent.

6. Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to safeguard your data. However, no online system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute protection.

7. Your Rights

You can delete your account and its transcripts at any time in the app under Settings → Delete Account. You may also request deletion of your data, or ask any privacy question, by contacting us at heatstudiollc@gmail.com.
